Describe your object?
My grandma’s watch and “spoon” ring. The watch is steel and gold and the ring is probably sterling silver. The watches face says “United States Naval Academy,” my dad went there and served for some time.

How is your object meaningful to you?
After she passed I finally got to go through her big jewelry box, I always wanted to as a kid. I was gifted the ring and watch, I wear the ring every day and it reminds me of her.
How do you see yourself as an artist in your community?
So far, I actually don’t see myself of much of an artist in the community, or the world. But I do see myself running with the female contemporary painters today and hope to be known and influential as them.
What is your hope for the future?
I just want to meet all of my goals and aspirations but those are constantly changing.
